Begin dit jaar stapte ik in de installatie Will You Carry Me?! van Nina Goedegebure. We doken in een herinnering die bijzonder ingrijpend is geweest. Een herinnering waarvan ik dacht dat die gegrift stond in mijn geheugen, waarbij het klinische, medische narratief dominant was.
Op 12 juli 2024 opende The Sick Rose, een tentoonstelling van Hannelotte van Elst. Voor de opening schreef ik deze tekst, over het laten zien van je 'echte' zelf, en de sociaal-maatschappelijke kant van onzichtbaar ziek zijn.
